Venerdì 13 novembre 2026 l’Associazione culturale YEAH ha l’onore di ospitare alla Casa della Musica di Trieste il cantautore e chitarrista statunitense Steve Wynn, leader e fondatore dei The Dream Syndicate, per la prima data del suo tour europeo Plays ‘Em All.
Accompagnato dall’ex Green on Red Chris Cacavas, Steve Wynn porta a Trieste un live che attinge a oltre quarant’anni di carriera nell’underground americano, attraverso numerosi progetti, tra cui Miracle Three, Dream Syndicate, the Baseball Project, Gutterball, Danny & Dusty e Hazel Motes. Chris Cacavas, ospite d’eccezione in occasione dell’uscita del nuovo cofanetto dei Green on Red, proporrà in apertura di serata brani solisti da tutta la sua carriera, per poi unirsi a Wynn sul palco.
Un live speciale, dunque, che rientra nell’ambito di YEAH Fest 2026 sotto al titolo “An evening with”, a rimarcare il contesto intimo e raccolto della serata: un’esperienza unica, in cui il pubblico si trova a tu per tu con due grandi songwriter, la loro musica e le loro storie, in un Auditorium che è un gioiello di acustica nel cuore di Città Vecchia.
La serata, che segna il ritorno di Wynn a Trieste a dieci anni dalla sua ultima esibizione in città, è promossa dall’Associazione culturale YEAH grazie al contributo di “Le Fondazioni Casali ETS” e con il supporto della BCC Venezia Giulia.
Il tour europeo di Steve Wynn con Chris Cacavas toccherà, oltre all’Italia, anche Germania, Spagna e Regno Unito, dove Steve si esibirà al festival Americana UK di Liverpool insieme a Chuck Prophet. Steve porterà con sé un nuovo album dal vivo registrato durante il suo ultimo tour italiano, oltre al suo più recente album in studio Make It Right, pubblicato da Fire Records.
On Friday, November 13, 2026, Trieste-based cultural association YEAH is proud to welcome American singer-songwriter and guitarist Steve Wynn—founder and frontman of The Dream Syndicate—to Casa della Musica in Trieste, Italy, for the opening date of his European tour, Plays ’Em All.
Joined by former Green on Red member Chris Cacavas, Wynn will perform a live set spanning more than forty years at the heart of the American underground music scene and drawing on his many projects, including The Miracle Three, The Dream Syndicate, The Baseball Project, Gutterball, Danny & Dusty, and Hazel Motes. Appearing as a special guest to coincide with the release of Green on Red’s new box set, Cacavas will open the evening with a solo performance featuring songs from throughout his career before joining Wynn on stage.
Part of YEAH Fest 2026, the concert will be presented under the banner An Evening With, reflecting the intimate atmosphere of the event: a rare opportunity for the audience to come face-to-face with two outstanding songwriters and experience their music and stories in an auditorium renowned for its acoustics, in the heart of Trieste’s historic Old Town.
Marking Wynn’s return to Trieste ten years after his last performance in the city, the concert is presented by cultural association YEAH with funding from Le Fondazioni Casali ETS and the support of BCC Venezia Giulia.
In addition to Italy, Steve Wynn and Chris Cacavas’s European tour will visit Germany, Spain, and the United Kingdom, where Wynn will perform alongside Chuck Prophet at the Americana UK festival in Liverpool. Wynn will also be bringing with him a new live album recorded during his most recent Italian tour, as well as his latest studio album, Make It Right, released by Fire Records.

Steve Wynn (Santa Monica, California, 1960) è una delle figure più influenti del rock indipendente americano degli ultimi quarant’anni. Musicista, autore e cantante, ha iniziato a suonare giovanissimo e, dopo una breve parentesi in cui sognava di diventare giornalista sportivo, è stato travolto dall’esplosione del punk e della new wave di fine anni Settanta.
Dopo l’esperienza con i Suspects, è diventato membro fondatore dei The Dream Syndicate, gruppo simbolo della scena Paisley Underground di Los Angeles, capace di coniugare l’eredità di Velvet Underground, Neil Young e Television con l’urgenza del punk. Con album ormai considerati classici come The Days of Wine and Roses e Medicine Show, i Dream Syndicate hanno lasciato un segno profondo nella storia del rock alternativo.
Parallelamente, Wynn ha costruito una prolifica carriera solista, pubblicando numerosi album acclamati dalla critica e collaborando con artisti e musicisti di primo piano. Nel corso degli anni ha dato vita anche a progetti come Gutterball e The Baseball Project, confermandosi autore versatile e instancabile esploratore di territori musicali.
Residente a New York da molti anni, Steve Wynn continua a esibirsi in tutto il mondo, alternando concerti, scrittura e attività divulgativa. Nel 2024 ha pubblicato il memoir I Wouldn’t Say It If It Wasn’t True, racconto autobiografico che ripercorre la sua formazione musicale, la nascita dei Dream Syndicate e una carriera che lo ha consacrato come una delle voci più autorevoli e longeve dell’indie rock statunitense.
Chris Cacavas

Nato a Los Angeles, Chris Cacavas muove i primi passi nell’industria musicale fin dai primi anni ’80 e ha suonato come turnista per artisti del calibro di Green on Red, Steve Wynn, Giant Sand e Pat Thomas. Nel 1988 ha pubblicato il suo album di debutto (insieme alla sua band, i Junkyard Love). Le canzoni rock di Cacavas, sfumate di country e folk e cantate con una voce lamentosa e malinconica, hanno sempre ricevuto costanti paragoni con Neil Young (paragoni indubbiamente alimentati dalla sua partecipazione all’album tributo a Neil Young This Note’s for You, Too!, nel quale ha inciso una cover di Tonight’s the Night). La maggior parte dei primi dischi di Cacavas è reperibile soprattutto in Germania, dove vanta un seguito di nicchia molto affezionato. Dwarf Star del 1999, pubblicato dalla Innerstate Records, ha reso la sua malinconia dalle sfumature country più accessibile anche al pubblico americano. Nel 2002, Cacavas ha poi pubblicato l’album *Bumbling Home From the Star* per la Innerstate.
